    We no longer accept 'layaways'.

    SHIPPING

    All items under 20 kg are shipped through the French Post Office c/w tracking & signature. Insurance is covered for the full item value. They require that you provide a phone number for the shipping document for all international parcels.
    DAMAGES DURING SHIPMENT
    I am not responsible for the carrier's handling of packages. If your item arrives damaged I will do everything possible to get a claim accepted. It is important to inform me immediately and send photos of the damaged items and packaging. You need to make a claim at your local Post Office, too. (Obligatory). The French Post Office will check on this, if no claim is made they will not reimburse us.
    Refund will be paid once insurance is collected.
    We must work together on this. 🙏🙏

    ALTERNATIVE SHIPPING & VERY HEAVY ITEMS

    Although they tend to be quite expensive here I can also ship through Fed Ex, DHL, UPS or any international courrier. Please convo me for a quote.

    I can also deliver in shared container shipping for very big items. I work with reputable transit companies here in France and I'm sure that they would be delighted to help you get your special item home. I can deliver items to Marseilles Port where it will be customs packed on pallets. You will be able to choose door-to-door delivery or pick-up at the port.

    I will do my best to help with all details of shipping.

    SHIPPING - WRONG, REMOTE, SECURE ADDRESSES

    Please give us an accurate & secure shipping address. We can not be responsible for parcels not delivered due to a wrong address or unsecured letterbox. If items are stolen from the letterbox or damaged, Alysaucottage will not be responsible.

    If items are returned to us, we will gladly deliver them back, but at the buyer's expense. If you do not collect your items from the Post Office, after a delivery notice issued by them, they may be returned to Alysaucottage in France. Return shipping and cancellation at buyer's expense.

    If you live in a remote destination close to the North Pole 😉, we will do our best to get your lovely item to you. However, it may cost a little extra postage. Don't hesitate to convo me on any doubts.

    DELAYED, DAMAGED AND LOST ITEMS

    For shipping damage please revert above.

    Parcels can be DELAYED for any number of reasons over which we have no control, such as Postal strikes, serious weather conditions, Bank Holidays.

    LOST ITEMS : If a parcel is deemed lost there will be an initial Post Office investigation. If you are in the States, Canada, Australia for example, although it is generally quicker, it could take up to 3 months before the Post Office issue a refund. We will make a claim here in France.
    We will be happy to reimburse the item and initial shipping costs once the refund has been accepted and issued by the Post Office.

    RETURNS

    ITEM RETURNS :
    For any INTERNATIONAL shipping, please make the following mention on the parcel "returned goods". If for any reason we have to pay duties on a returned parcel, the amount will be deducted from the reimbursement.
    Please return items in the original condition and packaging. As soon as we receive the items, we will make a full refund, less the initial shipping costs.
    You remain liable for any additional customs duties.
    Free shipping is a promotion - so the order can not be refunded.
    NO REFUND will be made for parcels REFUSED by the addressee or UNCLAIMED by the addressee and returned to sender.
